Gisela (Gisela Integrated Social Economical and Literacy Association) is founded in the year 1998 and got philanthropic status in the December of that year, neverthless become a registered Society in the year 2001.

The GISELA is Registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, Reg No - 410/01

GISELA is a volunteer, non-profit, non-political, and independent institute that aims to:

· Empower people, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and other civil society organizations (CSOs) through increasing their knowledge and skills, particularly in advocacy and research

· Strengthen State and Central cooperation

· Promote an enabling work environment for Rural Children and Youth

· Provide people-centered development models with an emphasis on and a respect for sustainable development, environmental protection, community participation, poverty alleviation, equal rights of citizens, particularly for women and youth, an NGO code of ethics, transparency and accountability, and human dignity with a focus on vulnerable groups.
